What a crazy weekend! We crammed Easter, Lila's and Spencer's birthdays, Stake Conference and a baptism all into 2 short days. Dan was able to baptize Shelly, a long time friend of Christy's on Saturday afternoon. I had visions of Dan falling into the baptismal font and both he ans Shelly going under water since Shelly is wheelchair bound, but I'm happy to report that there were no drownings and all went smoothly. Everything was perfect and Christy gave a really great talk on the companion of the Holy Ghost. We had delicious food and visited with old friends of the Foothills East ward where our children grew up and were baptized (except Jayna who was baptized in Polson, MT.). We cleaned up and then Dan and I went to look at cars. On Easter Sunday we attended Stake Conference with Tyler & Jayna's family. The music was wonderful and the speakers gave great talks. After church we went back to Jayna's to start preparing for our Easter feast and for two birthdays. Jayna had also arranged for 'Miss' Heather to take family pictures. Soon all the family arrived and we ate and then onto pictures. As Jayna put it - it was a bit like herding cats - to try and get all 6 grandchildren in one picture. Heather did an awesome job and I will post those pictures next - after I post the birthday and Easter dinner pictures. Lila turned 4 and Spencer turned 2 (well, on the 21st - we're just a bit early). They got fun presents and were very entertaining to watch; especially when Spencer opened a toy dirt Devil vacuum. He was so excited he couldn't contain himself! We were all dying of laughter over his response and couldn't figure out why he was so excited. Gabe said it was because he always see him vacuuming! It was so cute! He also got a chain saw and glasses from uncle Curt which is very life like! We had fun putting the glasses on Benett. I made Lila two sets of magnetic paper dolls and got her some Fancy Nancy stuff.
And then just to make our Easter Sunday extra fun we did a family car swap - printing out bill of sales and swapping car titles and plates. I'm not sure who ended up with what yet. I'm only delighted to report that I now am driving the Lexus again.
