Happy 4th of July!

We attended our first ever Garden Valley 4th of July. We started out the day with a pancake breakfast at the Senior Center. The food was great and there were so many people there! Then we headed over to help decorate our Veteran's float. Dan was supplying the music so we rode in the cab of the pickup pulling the Veteran's float so he could monitor it. He used his iPod with an amp ran off the battery supply plugged into the pickup. Genius! Most of my pictures were taken from inside the cab and after we got water soaked they are a little blurry! Thousands of people showed up for the parade! Lots of hoses, 4 wheelers, golf carts and of course firetrucks spraying water in the air. next year I want the kids to come up! We didn't end up staying for the fireworks (maybe next year - I told Dan it would cost him one cute yellow bench from Lowes!), so we had pizza and ice cream and went home and watched a movie.

Next year we will plan on coming up for sure! We did NOTHING at home and were totally bored!
